Thermage FLX achieves 5 million treatments, showcasing its trusted non-surgical skin tightening technology for smoother, youthful skin.
Thermage, created by Bausch Health’s aesthetic brand, Solta Medical, has reached a new milestone by completing 5 million treatments.1 The non-surgical technology has become a staple for patients looking to tighten and smooth the skin.
"5 million treatments performed is an incredible milestone for Thermage, but what it really shows is the level of trust both consumers and providers have in the tried and trusted technology to help deliver the natural, yet visible results they’re seeking,” Jiny Kim, Senior Vice President of Solta Medical, Bausch Health, told Dermatology Times. “Patients want to enhance their beauty without disruption to their daily lives, and Thermage makes that possible. We’re grateful that so many have made Thermage a trusted part of their self-care journey."
Thermage uses monopolar radiofrequency energy to naturally induce collagen production by heating deep layers of the skin in a safe manner. The non-invasive, patented technology provides visibly smoother, tighter skin with improved elasticity on the face, body, and eye. Moreover, it is the only non-surgical therapy indicated for wrinkle treatment on the upper and lower eyelids.
"We are proud to celebrate this incredible milestone achieved by Thermage technology," said Thomas J. Appio, Chief Executive Officer of Bausch Health. "This accomplishment reflects our commitment to innovative solutions in aesthetics and demonstrates the trust that patients and providers place in our products globally."1
The Thermage FLX System, when simultaneously applying radiofrequency energy and skin vibration, has also been proven to improve cellulite, muscle aches, pains, spasms, and blood circulation.
"Thermage has surpassed 5 million tips used worldwide, a testament to the trusted science behind every treatment," said Kim. "We want to thank every patient, consumer, healthcare provider, and employee for being part of a global story that keeps growing. Thermage is dedicated to helping individuals enhance their natural beauty through non-invasive skin tightening solutions. We will continue to advance our technology by investing in research and development, as well as gathering clinical evidence. We are just only getting started."1
The Thermage system has been trusted by providers around the world for over 20 years. Most recently, Thermage FLX, with a larger treatment tip, AccuREP impedance technology, and integrated cooling, launched in Canada earlier this year.3
“Thermage FLX was designed with both providers and patients in mind. With enhanced ergonomics, smart impedance feedback, and improved comfort, it delivers the personalized treatment experience patients are seeking and the reliable results providers expect from Thermage,” Kim said in a press release.3
