Looking Ahead to SBS with Glynis Ablon, MD

“I love sharing and exchanging information,” Ablon said. “I think it’s part of how we learn and grow as physicians,” said Glynis Ablon, MD, on the 2025 South Beach Symposium.

With the event kicking off tomorrow, Dermatology Times spoke with Ablon, a board-certified dermatologist, associate clinical professor at UCLA, SBS advisory board member, and owner of the Ablon Skin Institute and Research Center in Manhattan Beach, California. Ablon will be presenting on numerous panels, including, “Getting Involved in Clinical Trials,” “Nutraceuticals, Supplements, and More,” and “Complications in Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Procedures.”

“I’ve been doing this now for 15 years at South Beach Symposium, and I learned something new every single time,” Ablon said. “My dad always said, ‘all you need is one new thing,’ so I think the talks really do become more advanced.”

A few names that Ablon was excited to see on the list were Valerie Callender, MD, Brett King, MD, PhD, and of course Christopher Bunick, MD, PhD, medical dermatology chair of SBS and editor-in-chief of Dermatology Times.“I hate saying even a few names because there's so many people that I admire,” Ablon said. “I always learn new information from every time I see them on the podium.”

Other notable presentations include a hair session led by Natasha Mesinkovska, MD, PhD, a panel on JAKs and TYKs led by Bunick, and a session on cutaneous oncology led by Todd Schlesinger, MD.
