- The American Board of Dermatology (ABD) has listed the dates for 2010 examinations.

The In-Training Examination for dermatology residents will be administered online at dermatology residency training centers in the United States and Canada on March 25, 2010. The deadline for receipt of applications is Jan. 15.

The Recertification Examination will be administered as a proctored paper-and-pencil examination in conjunction with the American Academy of Dermatology meetings on March 10, 2010, and Aug. 1, 2010. The deadline for receipt of applications is Oct. 15.

The Certifying Examination will be held at the testing centers of the American Board of Pathology in Tampa, Fla., and the American Board of Radiology in Tucson, Ariz., the week of Aug. 2-6, 2010. The deadline for receipt of applications is March 1.

The examination for subspecialty certification in dermatopathology will be administered at the testing center of the American Board of Pathology in Tampa, Fla., on Sept. 1, 2010. The deadline for receipt of applications is May 1. (Dermatologists must submit applications to the American Board of Dermatology office and pathologists to the American Board of Pathology office.)
The examination for subspecialty certification in pediatric dermatology will be administered at Prometric testing centers around the country on Oct. 18, 2010. The deadline for receipt of applications is April 1.
