Anika gets conditional FDA nod

New York - Anika Therapeutics announced it has received conditional approval from the Food and Drug Administration for its injectable filler for facial wrinkles.

New York - Anika Therapeutics announced it has received conditional approval from the Food and Drug Administration for its injectable filler for facial wrinkles.

The company said it expected final approval by the end of 2006, according to Reuters.

The soft tissue filler, based on chemically modified hyaluronic acid, would also be used to treat scars and augment lips, Anika said.
