Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream | Avène
This nourishing, protein-rich skin barrier restoration cream holds up to 45 uses and is accepted by the National Eczema Association for quick, visible skin improvement. This can be used all over the body for patients with visible redness, sensitive skin, scarring, rosacea, acne-prone skin, and dermatitis. It’s also proven to be beneficial for those using topical procedures such as retinoids and those undergoing cancer treatments.1 In a clinical study of 88 patients, skin discomfort was reduced by 80% after just 48 hours. It has Avène’s cult-favorite Thermal Spring Water, which has been clinically shown by over 150 studies to soothe, soften, and calm the skin. The formula also includes a copper-zinc sulfate complex and therapeutic postbiotic ingredient “C+-Restore,” which is extracted from the microflora Aquaphilus dolomiae ferment filtrate found in the brand’s Thermal Spring Water. All ages can benefit, including younger patients who may want to start using skin care to help promote a healthy skin environment and parents looking for a minimalistic ingredient profile.
“No one leaves my office, on a medical or cosmetic day, without a coupon and counseling on Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream. This is my go-to option for post-superficial procedures, diaper dermatitis, and pediatric atopic dermatitis.” - Karan Lal, DO, MS, FAAD, dual fellowship–trained pediatric and cosmetic dermatologist at Affiliated Dermatology in Scottsdale, Arizona, and a Dermatology Times editorial advisory board member, said.
Collagen Bank Lip Plumping Treatment | Neutrogena
This deeply hydrating, vanilla-flavored, peptide-powered lip treatment provides immediate softness and visible plumping while simultaneously supporting collagen over time. Volumizing technology and hyaluronic acid are combined with patented micro-peptide technology that’s small enough to get into the skin. In an era where trendy lip products are more popular than ever, Neutrogena’s addition to its Collagen Bank line is highly relevant for patients who are looking to enhance lip fullness while achieving a smooth, glossy finish. It is also a great option for those who have recently received lip filler and want an at-home cosmetic treatment to complement and maintain their results. In fact, in a consumer study of 120 patients, 69% would delay the use of lip filler and 70% would use this product instead of getting their typical filler.2
“Many of my patients notice that, over time, loss of lip volume can contribute to fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth, which often leads them to consider injectable fillers. While this product is not a replacement for filler, consistent use may help support a fuller, more hydrated appearance and could potentially extend the cosmetic longevity of filler results.” - Muneeb Shah, DO, double board-certified dermatologist at Hudson Dermatology and Laser Surgery in New York, New York, told Dermatology Times.
Duo-Lux LASER&LED Light Therapy Mask | Megelin
Using both laser and LED technology in a single emitter, this high-tech, advanced-level tool is designed to address anti-aging issues for patients at home by stimulating the skin's natural processes. 660nm and 1064nm Duo-Lux lasers stimulate deep collagen renewal to visibly smooth fine lines and firm aging areas. 595nm light reduces surface irritation while 830nm and 1064nm wavelengths boost micro-circulation and deep repair, easing inflammation from within. These 595nm and 630nm LEDs will also break down uneven pigment and help constrict surface capillaries to reduce redness, along with the red wavelengths that will accelerate cellular repair for faster, calmer recovery.3 Three “Laser Zones” specifically target fine lines around the forehead, crow’s feet, and nasolabial lines.
"Uneven color and sagging skin often go hand in hand, which is one reason that really makes me appreciate that this Megelin mask can work on both of these concerns. Deeper skin structures can be reached by infrared light at a wavelength of 1064-nanometers. At this depth, it can reach the melanin-producing cells that drive dark spots. I am confident that this integration of deep-acting lasers and broad LED coverage can significantly benefit patients for evening tone while also strengthening the skin.” - Connie Tran Fiore, MD, board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist at Bare Dermatology in Frisco, Texas, said in a statement.
Calm Clean Hypochlorous Acid Mist | Pharmagel
Hypochlorous acid is able to penetrate the cell walls of bacteria and viruses without compromising the skin barrier, making it ideal for treating an assortment of skin disorders, including acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Pharmagel’s CC Mist is perfect for patients with these conditions, especially for on-the-go use to quickly disinfect their skin without compromising the barrier. A simple ingredient list (water, sodium chloride, hypochlorous acid) works to purify, soothe, and promote wound healing on the face and body.4 The product also features bag-on-valve (BOV) packaging in a portable aluminum can. This advanced aerosol system protects the formula from contamination and oxidation while also providing a lightweight, targeted 360-degree mist that is ideal for travel and easy to dispense.
"Hypochlorous acid is a game changer for busy people everywhere. It can clear skin of bacteria after a sweaty workout with just a quick spritz, it can alleviate itchy areas of the face and body almost instantaneously, and unlike other harsh disinfectants, it doesn’t irritate or damage skin in the process. Plus, it’s great for travel since it’s effective at neutralizing a wide range of pathogens from COVID to norovirus and works just as well on inanimate objects as it does on skin.” - Daniel Licursi, President of Pharmagel International, said to Dermatology Times.
The Regimen | Verli
This 3-step collection was designed to improve skin barrier health, hydration, and overall skin resilience using gentle, plant-based ingredients and antioxidants like ginger root and rosemary. Inspired by their infertility journey, the products were created for all life stages by husband-and-wife duo Laura and Marky Beverlin. The Gentle Daily Cleanser, Nourishing Eye Cream, and Hydrating Serum layer easily with active treatments and are made without common irritants, making the line well-suited for sensitive, reactive, and health-conscious patients. In a 2-week consumer perception study, participants reported smoother, more refreshed skin with a noticeably radiant, healthy-looking glow with every use.5 Each individual product can also fit easily into existing daily routines, especially in patients experiencing dehydration, sensitivity, dullness, or compromised barrier function. The line is a great option for those who want simple yet effective hydration without fragrance, heaviness, or ingredients that may trigger irritation.
"What we found throughout our journey is that what touches our skin should be looked at with equal importance, right down to the safety of the ingredients found in our daily skin care routine. Verli’s products are intentionally designed to be simple, supportive, and easy to integrate." - Laura Beverlin, Founder of Verli, told Dermatology Times.
