Clinical features, margin distinguish nonlentigo, lentigo melanoma
Dallas - Non-lentigo maligna melanoma in-situ and lentigo malignamelanoma in-situ are clinically distinct entities and also differ in themargins necessary for complete excision. For each type of lesion, however,the recommended 5-mm excision margin is often inadequate for cure, DavidKao, M.D., said at the annual meeting of the American Society for DermatologicSurgery and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and CutaneousOncology.
