Transcription factor may reveal early melanoma
Baltimore - In a few years dermatologists may have a new markerto identify early lesions of melanoma. In a preliminary study researchers found that Id-1, a helix-loop-helixtranscription factor, may regulate the expression of a gene associated withearly-stage melanoma.
