Physician social networking Web site goes live

- MDsConnect.net, a physician-exclusive Web site designed to offer social and professional networking, has gone live.

In addition to networking, the site offers practice management advice, wealth management and tax-planning advice, a physician-only Craigslist feature and an education module with access to dermatology journals and articles, according to a press release.

The site’s advisory board includes Helen Torok, M.D.; Dan Siegel, M.D.; and Robert Brodell, M.D. MDsConnect has also formed partnerships with Practice Solutions; VivaCare; SS&G Financial, a financial and wealth management firm; and Siebert and Keck, a general insurance and malpractice insurance firm.
