The phrase “COVID toes” has been used in to describe the pernio-like lesions associated with possible COVID-19 infection in younger individuals. In this video, Amy Paller, M.D., professor and chair of dermatology at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, discusses these skin lesions and how they may be connected to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Dr. Paller mentions, the American Academy of Dermatology has created a COVID-19 Dermatology Registry that health care professionals can use to report any cases of COVID-19 related dermatosis.
