Ottawa - Canada has lifted restrictions on the use of silicone gel breast implants after a 14-year ban.

Ottawa - Canada has lifted restrictions on the use of silicone gel breast implants after a 14-year ban.
Health Canada has issued licenses for products made by Allergan and Mentor Corp., the Toronto Star reports.
The manufacturers must continue to provide data for at least 10 years from an ongoing clinical trial, and must also agree to launch another large, long-term study to look for rare side effects.
