Pulsed Low Energy Revs Collagen Production
New Orleans - Breaking research in a new modality called "photomodulation" represents a fundamental change in how we understand the interaction of light and cells, according to Robert A. Weiss, M.D. "We thought we had to injure cells to rev up collagen production," he said. "But we can actually use pulsed low energy with absolutely no heat accumulation to effect profound changes in cell metabolism and reduce the effects of photoaging."
