Previewing the 2026 Fall Clinical Dermatology Conference

The 4-day CME meeting in Las Vegas offers up to 24.25 credits and sessions on inflammatory skin disease, skin cancer, pediatric dermatology, aesthetics, and more.

The 2026 Fall Clinical Dermatology Conference begins October 8 at the Wynn Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada, and runs through October 11.¹ The 4-day CME meeting offers up to 24.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and covers medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.²

This year's learning objectives span psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris, alopecia areata, vitiligo, chronic spontaneous urticaria, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Additional objectives include advances in biologic and targeted systemic therapies, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer care, cosmetic and procedural interventions, pediatric dermatology, and patient communication strategies.¹

Thursday opens with remarks and "What Did 2026 Bring to the Table in Dermatology?" led by April W. Armstrong, MD, MPH; James Q. Del Rosso, DO; Seemal R. Desai, MD; Gary Goldenberg, MD; Mark Lebwohl, MD; Mark S. Nestor, MD, PhD; Darrell S. Rigel, MD, MS; and Linda F. Stein Gold, MD. Morning sessions address skin of color outcomes, Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors in atopic dermatitis and vitiligo, and nonsteroidal topical options for atopic dermatitis.²

The afternoon covers tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitors in psoriasis, case-based approaches to acne, chronic spontaneous urticaria, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Attendees will also hear updates on pediatric viral infections and cosmeceuticals before a Family Feud-inspired game show and the welcome reception.²

Friday begins with "20 Tips in 20 Minutes," featuring Boni E. Elewski, MD; Lawrence J. Green, MD, MEd; Adelaide A. Hebert, MD; Leon H. Kircik, MD; and Jonathan S. Weiss, MD. Laura K. Ferris, MD, PhD, then reviews where melanoma stands in 2026, followed by a session on acne and rosacea approaches with Stein Gold, Emmy M. Graber, MD, MBA, and Weiss.²

Later Friday topics include head-to-head data on IL-17 inhibitors in psoriatic disease, oral psoriasis therapies, bemotrizinol and sunscreen recommendations, and biologic decision-making in moderate to severe atopic dermatitis.² Afternoon sessions focus on non-melanoma skin cancer, hidradenitis suppurativa comorbidities, rare disorders such as pustular psoriasis, porphyrias, and mastocytosis, actinic keratosis, and hyperpigmentation.²

Saturday and Sunday Sessions on Pediatrics, Hair Loss, and Journal Updates

Saturday begins with "What's Coming Up Next with a Special Guest" from Rigel, followed by pediatric dermatology pearls from Lawrence Eichenfield, MD, and Lisa Swanson, MD.²Other morning topics include early advanced treatment, gene expression profile and biomarker-driven testing, chronic spontaneous urticaria, and a therapeutic hotline with Brad P. Glick, DO, MPH.²

The remainder of the morning features atopic dermatitis, immunotherapy for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, and alopecia areata, along with an update on what the American Academy of Dermatology is doing for its members. Several programs run alongside the general sessions across the meeting. These include an alopecia areata CME workshop chaired by Michelle Tarbox, MD, a Masters of Aesthetics Symposium, and a CME workshop on GLP-1 receptor agonists in psoriasis chaired by Joel M. Gelfand, MD, MSCE.²

Saturday also includes the Early Career Dermatology Initiative and the Rising Derm Stars competition for residents. The first-place winner presents on Sunday morning.²

The final day begins with "The Newest in Dermatology," chaired by Del Rosso with Lebwohl and Joshua Zeichner, MD, followed by another round of "20 Tips in 20 Minutes." Journal updates cover JAMA Dermatology with Armstrong, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology with Bruce H. Thiers, MD, and SKIN and Dermatology Online Journal with Nicholas Brownstone, MD. Closing sessions address wound healing, lupus and dermatomyositis, and surgical pearls.²
