Precise Erbium: YAG treatment levels acne scars, M.D. says
San Diego — One of the biggest cosmetic skin problems among the people of Iran, according to Saied Vejdani, M.D., is scarring from acne.

San Diego - One of the biggest cosmetic skin problems among the people of Iran, according to Saied Vejdani, M.D., is scarring from acne.
"Everybody thinks that using a laser is 90 percent technology and 10 percent operator technique. The point that I want to make is that when it comes to using this particular ablative laser for treating acne scars, it is 90 percent technique and 10 percent technology," Dr. Vejdani says.
"With the Erbium:YAG laser, because it is a dedicated laser with a 1 mm spot size, I can use it to treat very small pitted scars and go around the scars," he says.
One of the most important things he does, according to Dr. Vejdani, is mark each scar at its deepest point.
