PDT offers dual benefits for treatment of AKs
Washington - Enhanced photorejuvenation, using photodynamic therapy (PDT) to simultaneously treat actinic keratoses (AKs) and photodamage, has been associated with encouraging results in the hands of a number of investigators. However, results are being awaited from ongoing controlled studies that hopefully will identify treatment parameters for optimizing safety and efficacy, said Robert A. Weiss, M.D., at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology here.
