Keloid Mechanics

San Francisco-Researchers at the University of Miami (Florida) department of dermatology and cutaneous surgery, have undertaken studies characterizing expression of apoptotic markers in keloidal skin with the hope of gaining an understanding of keloid biology and, with that information, clues for developing preventive and therapeutic modalities.
