Isolated limb-infusion technique migrates West
Birmingham, England - Isolated limb Infusion (ILI), a technique imported from Australia, recently was used to treat a British woman suffering from recurrent malignant melanoma of the leg. According to consultant dermatologist Jerry Marsden with University Hospital in Birmingham, she was the first European patient to make use of the treatment, now standard therapy in Australia for patients who have recurrence of melanoma confined to a limb.
