Immunobiology insights stimulate new gene therapy approaches
New York - With melanoma predicted to rise at an alarming rate, and treatment options limited for metastatic disease, researchers are trying to get a handle on ways to increase disease-free and overall survival. Although 85 percent of patients with melanoma can be cured with current surgical strategies, a substantial number of patients develop metastatic disease with limited options for therapy.
