Gene-based studies started

New Orleans - "Gene-based studies currently under way are aiming to gain insight into the mechanism of development of skin and other types of cancers," said Jenny Kim, M.D., Ph.D. Available findings from that research will be presented at the joint annual meeting of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery/American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology by Lisa Chipps, M.S., a fourth-year medical student who has been collaborating with her on this project.
