Emerging Treatment Strategies: Combination Therapy with Biologics
Alefacept has a slow onset of response. Treatment with UVB light has a rapid onset of response and is often used in combination therapy to enhance the efficacy of other agents, to provide an earlier onset of clinical activity while waiting for other agents to reach maximal efficacy, or to reduce the number of doses of UVB required.
