Tampa, Fla. - A former dermatologist who performed needless skin surgeries on elderly patients and defrauded Medicare has been sentenced to 22 years in prison, The Associated Press reports.
Michael Rosin, M.D., 56, must also pay $48,866 to patients and $3.6 million to the Medicare trust fund, and must forfeit another $3.7 million to the federal government.
The judge also ruled that the doctor testified falsely during his trial and caused serious bodily injuries to patients.
