DefenAge today announces the launch of its 6-Week Perfection Neck Tightening Cream, adding to its defensin-based skincare product line.
DefenAge, manufacturer and distributor of luxury skincare products, today announced the launch of its 6-Week Perfection Neck Tightening Cream, the latest addition to its line of study-backed defensin-based products.
The cream includes the company’s staple age-repair defensins, which signal the body to create new skin by activating the dormant reserves of fresh and young cells, and other ingredients including niacinamide, sea whip, advanced peptides and natural extracts, phospholipids, and vitamin E.
Used to correct deep lines, folds, and the effects of gravity on fragile skin of the neck, the cream is fast-acting, with initial results seen in two weeks and full results in six, according to DefenAge.
“After just 11 days of my patients using the DefenAge’s firming and moisturizing neck cream, I was impressed to see the softening of lines and skin texture, and a visible neck tightening effect,” says Dr. Gregory Keller, clinical professor of surgery at UCLA. “These effects are due to the defensin-molecules that are also involved in a natural regeneration of the skin during wound healing. Our skin re-epithelializes wounds within a few days, meaning that it is enough for the body to produce a meaningful visible effect that fast.”
The company says the product is not only effective on early stage neck aging, but also more severe and deep lines, and is still gentile due to the product formulation without retinols. It is specifically formulated for the neck area.
“The physical properties of the neck skin differ greatly from the skin on the face and elsewhere on the body and cause the neck to age differently than other parts of our skin. As a dermatologist, I recommend using DefenAge’s new neck cream, which is specifically designed to address neck aging and provide visible skin rejuvenation,” says dermatologist Anne Chapas, MD.
The 6-Week Perfection Neck Tightening Cream can be used twice daily after cleansing while the skin is still moist and should be applied by lightly massaging it onto the skin with short lifting motions using fingers of the right hand to apply to the left side of the neck and décolleté, and vice versa, according to the company.
The cream also touts no polyethylene glycols or animal- or human-derived ingredients and is fragrance free.
“It is easy to recommend DefenAge to skincare savvy consumers who are looking to avoid ingredients such as parabens, fragrances, formaldehydes, phthalates, etc; the new neck firming cream also does not contain silicones and polyethylene glycols (PEGs),” says dermatologist Natalie M. Curcio, MD, MPH. “DefenAge always exceeds standards. For example, as far as I know, DefenAge is the only brand that makes both claims ‘free from animal- and human-derived ingredients.”
