Deciphering between biologic psoriasis treatments
February 10 -- Craig L. Leonardi, M.D., spoke yesterday aboutthe growing number of effective psoriasis treatments, which he also comparedto one another in terms of efficacy. He said the traditional model for psoriasistreatment, beginning with topical treatments that are replaced by strongertreatments as needed, should be abandoned. "It's just not working,"he said, citing a patient survey in which 78 percent of psoriasis patientsexpressed dissatisfaction with the treatments.
