Confocal microscope focuses on histological imaging
Dallas - Confocal microscopy is an exciting new noninvasive modality allowing real-time histological assessment of nonmelanoma skin cancers and other cutaneous lesions, but numerous challenges lie ahead before the technology might find widespread clinical utility, Gregg M. Menaker, M.D., said at the combined annual meeting of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
