Capsaicin Bats .500
Ankara, Turkey -- Half the patients in a small study conducted in Turkey responded to the topical application of capsaicin to treat alopecia areata. Since hair growth was reported after three weeks of treatment, further studies are merited to determine whether capsaicin can shorten the cycle of regrowth and produce lasting results, said Belma Guven Yilmaz, M.D, the lead investigator.
