Beyond Conventional Melanoma Tx
San Francisco - When looking at appropriate ways to treat melanoma, dermatologists should consider Mohs surgery as a tool in the armamentarium, according to Ronald L. Moy, M.D. While conventional wisdom holds that wide excision is the gold standard of treatment for melanoma, because of the high recurrence rate, Mohs surgery may have some tissue-sparing advantages for these patients.
