Automated diagnostic systems offer promise, pitfalls
Because dermoscopy is only as reliable as the doctor using it, researchersare striving to develop diagnostic systems that eliminate the variable ofphysician experience altogether. Four of these systems were discussed duringa two-hour forum yesterday as part of the AAD annual meeting. The same systemswere demonstrated at the conference.
