Early-stage melanoma surveillance
In this table, we highlight frequently asked questions about the staging, treatment and surveillance of early-stage melanoma.
In January, three physicians led by Douglas Grossman, M.D., Ph.D., of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah Health Sciences Center, Salt Lake City, published an article in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology that addresses controversial issues associated with the staging, treatment and surveillance of early-stage melanoma. Dr. Grossman, with Marki Klapperich, M.D., (University of Wisconsin-Madison) and Glen M. Bowen, M.D., (University of Utah Health Sciences Center), reviewed the new data to provide an up-do-date analysis that addresses issues for which there are little-to-no guidelines. In this table, we highlight frequently asked questions.
