Pittman, N.J. - The Dermatology Nursing Certification Board (DNCB) is now offering a certification exam for nurse practitioners in dermatology, according to a press release.

- The Dermatology Nursing Certification Board (DNCB) is now offering a certification exam for nurse practitioners in dermatology, according to a press release.

The first exam was offered during the March 2008 Dermatology Nurses' Association (DNA) Convention and is scheduled to be held three times a year. The credential earned is Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) and goes "beyond the nurse practitioner license and demonstrates the NP has acquired specialized dermatology knowledge and adheres to practice standards," the DNA press release states.
