Andrew T. Patterson, MD discusses his 2016 AAD poster, “Skin diseases associated with Agent Orange and other organochlorine exposures” with Dermatology Times Editorial Advisor, Elaine Siegfried, MD. Noting that The Institute of Medicine releases a biannual review of all the medical data associated with organochlorine exposure but doesn’t have a specific section addressing skin diseases, Dr. Patterson saw a practice gap that could be filled. Using 112 reviews in the paper, Dr. Patterson identified several skin diseases e associated with organochlorine exposures.
