Can my patient finally sue their HMO for poor quality of care? Perhaps
John Doe recently died from metastatic melanoma. His estate wishes to sue his health maintenance organization because the nonphysician executives in charge of the HMO delayed sending him to a dermatologist who may have noted his melanoma at the time of initial presentation.
