Clinicians can focus on patient care and leave human resources and bookkeeping to office staff.
Dermatology Partners will be expanding the reach of its 30 offices to the Hunt Valley, Maryland, area on September 6, 2023, creating new jobs in the town. The physician-led practice specializing in medical and surgical dermatology currently has offices in Pennsylvania and Delaware.1
The office will be led by Kate V. Viola, MD, MHS, FAAD, a board-certified dermatologist who practices both medical and cosmetic dermatology in patients of all ages. Viola, who recently moved to the area from Michigan, is committed to research and has a special interest in treating skin cancers, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and alopecia.
“I am thrilled to join Dermatology Partners whose dermatological approach is patient centric,” Viola told Dermatology Times®. “I am able to focus on the unique needs of each individual, and my translational medicine and clinical trials background allows for direct access to the most up-to-date treatments in my field.”
Dermatology Partners plans to open offices across Maryland using their business model, which allows physicians to concentrate on medical care for patients rather than office management issues such as human resources and bookkeeping. The company credits its success to the patient-centric model it follows focusing on immediate availability, high-quality care, and transparent pricing. Founded in 2012 in Pennsylvania with the idea of empowering each doctor to provide their individual best care for patients, the company continues to be passionate about putting patient satisfaction first.
The focus on patient care also makes Dermatology Partners an attractive place to work for doctors, those who have been practicing for years and those who have recently completed residency. The company offers insight and support to doctors who are considering a transition and are happy to explore with clinicians in all stages of their careers what a transition to join the group would look like and how they could continue their history of success. An extensive training program for clinicians joining Dermatology Partners plus access to resources and a network of more than 50 providers creates a smooth transition.
In addition to opening new offices, the company has grown through the acquisition of independent practices, particularly those with clinicians wanting to concentrate on patient needs and clinicians nearing retirement.
